The City of Willard to host its 4th Annual Community Yard Sale
With spring among us, it is the perfect time to start thinking about gathering surplus or unwanted items around your house for Willard’s Fourth Annual Community Yard Sale. The community-wide event will take place Thursday, May 14 through Saturday, May 16, 2020. Sale hours are Thursday and Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.
Participants are asked to sign up at Willard City Hall by May 4th for your yard sale to be listed and made available through the city’s website and Facebook pages. Sign-up to be listed is for Willard City residents or anyone who receives a Willard water bill. There is a nominal listing fee of $3 dollars, which will help cover general advertising for the event. (Remaining proceeds to be donated to the Willard Food Bank).
Yard/garage sales officially listed during this event will not count towards one of the three allowed by city ordinance and will not need a permit. We would also like to remind residents that all sale signs during this event, and throughout the year, may not be placed in the right-of-way, attached to any utility pole, and should be removed promptly after the sale is over.
